Very pleasantly surprised at the texture and flavor of these beans. I have made it individually, and as part of red beans and rice recipe. We will definitely be purchasing again.

Easy for adding to soups and rice, tasty and convenient – also can be stored for several years.

I make “Meals in Jars”… Vacuum packed meals from dehydrated or freeze dried food that you add boiling water to and they’re ready to eat in 10 – 30 minutes. See: https://www.amazon.com/Meals-Jar-Handbook-Gourmet-Storage/dp/1462113788/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1505536687&sr=8-3&keywords=stephanie+petersen or do a search for chef tess bakeress 52 meals. Gourmet meals made from dried food and vacuum packed in mason jars, mylar bags or Food Saver bags. Use them for backpacking, camping, food storage, vacations… whatever. I got these for minestrone soup!

Used for backpacking in bean soups! Rehydrated fully in tact after about 10 minutes on a camp stove and was very tasty with spicy additions and freeze dried veggie mix! It is a bit pricey though, so next time I might make my own.
