    Sprouted green shoots almost immediately

Planted 10 days ago and already seeing sprouts coming up. Bulbs were fresh and firm and shipment was fast. Hope they winter over well and we have good production next summer!

This is my first season to grow softneck garlic so I decided to try these bulbs from California and so glad I did. These bulbs were packed so well with brown paper between the bulbs. Each bulb had about 8 large cloves and several smaller ones that we will be using to cook with. I have chosen the largest cloves for planting and followed directions in the process for softnecks. I will definitely order again from this company if I need to but my plan is actually to allow one bulb to go to seed for future use without having to purchase bulbs.

Garlic came before estimated delivery date. Was in perfect condition. Excited about planting. Received 6 nice large heads with lots of cloves.
UPDATE: Planted all the cloves this spring. Just broke apart heads and planted cloves as is. No special prep work. All cloves have sprouted and growing great. This is a great.

It was not what I expected. It was whole bulbs not pieces. Most importantly, it was very late. It was supposed to arrive on the 22nd but it didn’t come until the 26th.

Everything for this purchase was great, except now I find that I received hardneck bulbs instead of softneck, as I have just harvested scapes.

I planted these in mid November (zone 8b.) We’ve had such a mild fall though that they are already sprouting but that’s on me and the weather. I may update again once spring rolls around but so far so good! There were many good large cloves in each bulb to plant. They were fresh when they arrived with no rot. I had more than enough to fill my little 4×4 garlic plot. 🙂

    Update: 4/16/24
Plants look strong and healthy. I think every single clove I planted came up and developed into a plant. I will update once harvest rolls around. I have watered minimally and kind of let nature do her thing with the exception of dead leaf mulch over bulbs after planting and fertilizing with organic fertilizer a few times. I will update again once harvested.

    Looks great.
We will plant this winter, and post an update in spring.
