The radishes arrived wrapped in paper with a little cardboard in a USPS envelope. This means that the temperature may have fluctuated to extremes reducing the quality and texture. As they arrived with the mail on a cold day, they spent several hours in below freezing temperatures. You can tell that they are not as crisp as they could be. One daikon was of normal size; the other was small. My biggest issue is that the radishes come cut. Each cut means that part dries out and leads to waste. For the cost, I could have made a several hour drive and bought a few. I would not buy these again because of packaging and being pre-cut.

My first time seeing Daikon radishes. I actually received One almost weighing a pound, two other smaller ones and a CARROT. I tried making “potato” salad with the Daikons. It almost worked great except the huge Daikon had a good deal of fiber in it, which may have been because it was post-mature. I will try to use the small red radishes and also will check out local Asian markets. The radishes and carrot received were fresh, not rotted. Just not what I expected, especially not the big orange carrot.

Arrived quickly and very fresh. They were delicious and a great low carb potato substitute. I wish my local grocery store carried daikon, but I’m going to try to grow them this year.

They took one big Daikon Radish and cut it in half to make it fit in an Amazon envelope. I am a little disappointed because if I had known it was being shipped all the way from California to Kentucky I would have ordered 10lbs instead of 2lbs. But then 10lbs would have cost me $150 USD. Tasty but NOT a good value at all.

Wasn’t sure about ordering fresh produce but these Daikon radishes are very nice. They aren’t limp and they even have green growing tops. These are going into Kimchi and salads. I’ll be ordering again as long as the temps stay cool.
