This is good to have in the pantry. I rehydrate first because it can be a little woody. It has decent flavor. I much prefer freezing ginger but when unable to do so this is a wonderful replacement and better than the powder in some applications. I prefer this much more than finding a piece of rotten ginger in the bottom of my vegetable drawer which does happen from time to time. 😐
The ginger itself is good, but the amount of it you get for the price is ridiculous.
Tasty and spicy. Not as good as fresh, but a really good taste, and it never goes bad!

Found it to be fresh. Arrived in timely manner. Able to use it in baking. Good product.
Boil for tea
My husband and I drink so much Masala chai that I started buying the ingredients and grinding my own tea and spices. I found a really good recipe that matches the flavor of the Tazo Chai Latte concentrate I used to buy. You can find it at a web site called “the things we’ll make” (leave out the apostrophe in we’ll) how to make chai tea from scratch in bulk. The difference between grinding my own ginger and other spices, over getting them already ground in spice jars is huge, and totally worth the effort. I grind up the recipe and keep them in a mason jar. I use it up so fast, it doesn’t have time to get stale.
I like to add quite a bit of ginger to my pork teriyaki but don’t make it often enough to justify buying fresh ginger root. This product works great. I get the same taste I want and it stays “fresh” in the bottle.
Bottle is small. I was a waste of money.
