I like the fast delivery and the product is excellent. Very easy to mix and after chilling tastes just like fresh milk. It’s now my constant staple a lot more convenient than buying fresh milk all the time.

I use this product for two things: homemade bread and coffee latte, hot and iced. Both work wonderfully well and taste yummy. I am a lifelong type 1 diabetic and the search for the right coffee creamer is a challenge; this delivers every time. I use a bread machine on express setting and my loaves are light and fluffy. There is also a very good bread recipe right on the can that makes 2 loaves. You will not be disappointed.

The milk powder is fine-grained. There are no bio-engineered/genetically modified statements on the label, unlike one other powdered milk product I used. I use powdered milk with cups of tea in morning. Water added slowly out of teapot into cup while constantly stirring with spoon. Extra powder added to increase creaminess without that fatty taste. It usually mixes excellently. It tastes good, is affordable and I recommend it. Hope this helps!

I was surprised to find out Swiss miss has powdered milk. I have been buying the cocoa powder and love their product. The milk flavor is great, the quantity for the price paid is great. It was hard to mix in my tea as it all clumped together. Due to the non fat product and affordable cost, I will for sure buy it again.

Edit to add: it is AWESOME for use in cafe lattes. It froths up really well. Makes a sturdy froth that tops off my espresso gorgeously. I just use a

    simple milk frother

to make super quick easy foam.

If you order from the warehouse you have to know that it may have a short shelf life left on it (though should be a ways out if ordering from regular Amazon). Taking a chance on reduced pricing. I think this is a bargain at regular pricing. HUGE container. I normally don’t care about the best by date, because it is only referencing the guaranteed quality, not the safety. So mine is 2 months out, and I doubt I will have this used by then. But it will be fine beyond that. I bought this more as a back up in case of scarcity or skyrocketing food prices. I normally just drink non dairy “milk”, but will use stuff like this in recipes that call for dairy milk. I also dont mind it as a creamer.

One thing that is nice about powdered milk is being able to make it as rich and creamy or as light and bland as you want. Use more or less according to preferred taste. I think this has very good flavor.

I have used it directly in coffee with some effort to get lumps out. Best when use a little frother mixer. Nice for adding to smoothies and such if looking to boost protein and other vitamin and minerals. Might be helpful to those that can use the extra calories and nutrition boost without having to consume added volume (thinking ill or elderly).

I’d get this again. I have two big containers so it might be awhile. But I may buy extras and give away.

I’ve experimented with several brands, and here is where Swiss Miss compares to them:

Cost – this was least expensive for these sizes that are similar to a #10 size can that make roughly 4 gallons of milk. Great price!
Taste – fine, but most others are a bit tastier to me. This is pretty subjective, though.
Mixing – biggest negative for Swiss Miss, it is the most difficult to mix, even in warm water (all of them need warm water for best mixing). But this one needs MORE mixing, and develops frothy bubbles due to the extra energy needed for mixing.

    Recommendation
    1) For me, the best was “Morning Moo” by Augason Farms that comes in a true #10 sealed can for long term food storage (it is the ONLY one that requires a can opener!). It uses less powder than others, tastes the best, nice rich mouth feel, and mixes easily in warm water. Higher cost, but this is partially offset by using about 25% less powder. The only choice I found for long term food storage due to the sealed can.
    2) A close Second is Augason Farms “Country Fresh”. Great taste and mouth feel.
    3) Third is Nido by Nestle – tastes pretty good, mixes well. Still a good choice, but price fluctuates on Amazon.

We’re trying to make fewer trips to the grocery store, and to trim our grocery budget. This product comes well packaged with no transit damage, so far. The dry milk mixes easily and tastes like milk. In our area milk is between $7 and $8 a gallon, while this product makes about 3 gallon and costs $12. Also like mixing a quart or two with no worry about Best By Date on a store gallon of milk.

Guys this is legit milk. Use a bowl and whisk at room temperature, funnel it into a container, place that in the fridge, wait 12 hours, drink it cold.

The end result is essentially skim milk. Very watery, not much taste. If you use tap water there is possibility for an aftertaste.

    It is exactly as promised.
