I soak my calendula flowers in this sunflower oil to make my salves, lotions and ointments.
Worked perfectly while my bulk supplier would take too long to arrive. .
Will buy again.
I love HO sunflower oil in soap and use it at 20%. I also add about 1% to lotion base. My skin loves it!
I was a big fan of Reign Dance sunflower massage oil and was quite bummed when they closed operations. I’ve been searching for a suitable replacement that was organic and cold-pressed. Baja is the third brand I’ve tried and so far my new favorite. Sunflower oil, for massage therapists, is a good oil for creating variable slip. Use a little more for Swedish and relaxation work or a little less for deeper tissue techniques. If you get too much it’s easily absorbed or wiped off. Doesn’t stain sheets. It’s a great oil.
Very good oil, well package 📦 and none scented
We use this oil for cooking. After trying various cooking oil products, I found this one to be very good for health. It would be great if this product was available in larger quantities at a better price. I would rate this product 5/5.
I use this as a body oil – if your skin has trouble absorbing coconut or sweet almond oil, and shea butter just slides right off, this is the product for you! I mix in a few essential oils for scent, and slather it on right after turning the water off in the shower. Then I just drip dry while I brush my teeth and prep my face, and rub the oil in again, and I stay completely moisturized all day! Really a great price for the amount too, and it’s super versatile.
We use this oil for deep frying potatoe chips and chicken wings. It is good quality and having such a large size lets us reuse it about 6 times before we have to order it again. We put it into smaller mason jars for everyday cooking too. Love it:)
It’s not USDA Organic, so I can’t be totally sure it’s organic, but it might just mean they didn’t go back enough generations on the seeds to qualify as organic. But I wanted to do a review because I’ve seen some bad reviews and as someone who has purchased it 3 times, about to purchase my 4th, I think I have more experience with this oil than many. It’s basically odorless and a mild flavor on foods with a high smoke temperature. I never have issues with it smoking. I’ve had nothing but good experience with it and a gallon lasts me about a year, so if it were stale I think I would experience a problem before I used it up. I keep it in a dark cool corner of the pantry and fill up a small glass bottle at a time to keep in the cupboard over the stove.
